The Greasy Spoon is a self-initiated project inspired by my dream of one day opening an authentic British-style Greasy Spoon cafe in Melbourne. I have designed a logo, brand guidelines, merchandise and menus.

Tone of Voice: No-Nonsense, Warm, and Proper British

Mission: We’re not your fancy-pants, overpriced, “smashed avo on artisan sourdough” kind of place. No flat whites, no oat milk, and definitely no “deconstructed” anything. Just proper British grub, cooked how it should be—hearty, honest, and served with a strong cuppa.

At our greasy spoon, you’ll find full English breakfasts that actually fill you up, bacon with a proper crisp, eggs how you like ‘em, and mugs of tea that could revive the dead. No frills, no fuss, just good food at a fair price, served up with a bit of banter on the side.

We’re here for the early risers, the hard grafters, and anyone who knows a proper fry-up beats a kale smoothie any day. So pull up a chair, grab some brown sauce, and let’s get you sorted.
